This is my 2nd book by the author's. Enjoyed it. We tour on our Goldwing also. Recommend purchasing heated clothing. We ride year round with no fear of cold. I take issue with the comment about FRancis MArion. We live in Florence. The FRancis MArion forest and swamp grave
many scenic roads. Get off the interstate!
Enjoyed the story of the trip and the authors take on how to approach it. Informative for someone who is interested in doing similar trips. Big bonus for me is that the route they rode came within 15 miles of my home in West Virginia. I agree with the author that WV would be a bad place for armed robbers or terrorists. That was good for quite a laugh!
If you like touring on motorcycles, having fun and learning about great places to ride and test your skills, you will enjoy this book. The Spicers write in a conversational style the makes you think you're right there on the motorcycle with them. It's not as long a journey and not as long a book as more epic adventures (Florida to Alaska comes to mind), but it is very informative because they not only tell the story of the fun rides they've discovered in Southern Indiana, but they share with the reader the techniques they have developed over the years that have made up successful and safe rides. It's a short book with fantastic photos taken from the moving motorcycle; their pictures bring this journey to life. They have their own brand of humor and I like the easy way they ride and write. I hope they keep going and make the "Winging It Our Way" books into a whole series about other interesting rides they find in the future. I'm just waiting for the next "Winging It" destination. Great Job.
